All of the hard work that goes on behind the scenes has started to take shape in the fields.
The top field is planted with a new crop of black currants and we have added a field of gooseberries. Unfortunately, these will take a few years to mature. But in the meantime we will still have a large supply of frozen (or fresh in July) berries and an endless supply of black currant concentrate.
We’re very excited about our new additions, but we’ve also had some unwanted interest from pesky visitors. These new fields will mean an extension on our current deer fence to keep destructive looters away.
There’s always something to do on the farm but don’t forget to give your Favourite Farm Girl a call if you’re running low on supplies.
