This Saturday’s Peninsula Country Market at the Saanich Fairgrounds is open for an extra hour (9 to 2) to celebrate Family Day! So don’t forget to come see your Favourite Farm Girl!
In honour of family day we will have black currant sundaes for all of the kids, big and small. We will also have our black currant scones and tarts, red gooseberry blossoms and red gooseberry pies.
We’ve been slaving away in the kitchen all week (thankfully, the weather hasn’t been too hot)! We have freshly made black currant jam, black currant – raspberry jam, red gooseberry jam, and green gooseberry jam. Of course, we also have our pure black currant concentrate, full of antioxidants, polyphenols, anthocyanins, and vitamins.
