This Saturday the Peninsula Country Market will share the field with the Central Saanich Family Festival, presented by the Saanichton Village Association (saanichtonvillage.ca).
It’s all the usual farm fresh flavour plus special activities for kids. Race giant hamster balls down a track or play in a Bouncy Castle from Games2U. Take on the challenge of the Inflatable Obstacle Course from the Panorama Recreation Centre and get your face painted with fabulous creative designs. All this and prizes too, including family passes to the Saanich Fair. And don’t forget the Lions famous pancake breakfast! No admission fees.
The Peninsula Country Market also celebrates its 25th anniversary on Saturday – one of the longest running markets in the Victoria region – with a cake and the start of its campaign to create a mobile agricultural education trailer. Take home farm fresh produce and locally raised meats from Peninsula farms for dinner – and add some wine from local wineries. Enjoy the diversity of more than 50 vendors on this beautiful market on grass. Dogs welcome! Lots of free parking too.
